Cy is the founder of drum manufacturer, Masters of Maple, and he also runs a tour production

company called Ghost Tech.

Masters of Maple has partnered with music cares for a limited release of their popular Trash Talk snare drum,

with all proceeds going to a COVID-19 musician's relief fund.

I'd intended on recording a short segment to put at the top of another episode,

but Cy is such a fascinating person that we ended up talking for well over an hour.

What have you been up to today?

Yeah, I'm just cruising at the shop right now.

Just, you know, kind of sitting some time aside for this and just getting some stuff built.

And, you know, just I'm actually shipping a bunch of care packages to all the artists right now.

I'll send you a picture of it, but I got a bunch of glass bottles engraved, and we made

our own COVID tonic, which is basically just a bunch of scotch, and we're sending it out

to the guys.

I did. I did. I grew up in Orange County, Michigan Viejo and like Rancho Santa Margarita, to be exact.
