But was there a specific methodology that Bruce had to reporting you that was

different than everybody else? Well, I won't say different. When I work with Ike Turner,

we recorded Kicks, Nair, and Hat. So by the time we got to Thriller, we went back to that

premise, Kicks, Nair, and hat, overdub the other things.

So that's how we did Billy Jane, kick snare and hat.

Now, did he have that kick drum zipper cover thing going?

He had the zipper cover, he had a lead shield blocking the mic for the snare drum, all that stuff, pad me on a riser.
