Theo. I combine Theodore and Theo. Theo Wald, he is the guy who wrote the executive order that led to the Supreme Court oral arguments yesterday.

Who better to talk to? Maybe the only person better to talk to would be John Eastman. He's the guy who for the last 20 years has been putting this into the environment, into the atmosphere, that it's something we should discuss.

That's my first, and I thought that for the longest time, I thought I was following a Theo Vaughn account until I realized that he was the former assistant attorney general and former White House deputy assistant for domestic policy under President Trump and help draft the original executive order against birthright citizen. I was like, oh, this guy's nothing to do with Theo Vaughn, but his name's Theo Wald. Mr. Wald, how do you do, sir? I'm doing good, Mike. How are you? I don't know if I'm the only one who's made that mistake before between you and Theo Vaughn. Apologies, if I am. No, I got a quick, funny story I had a good friend who saw uh Tucker at a

hotel and he goes up to Tucker and he says Tucker a huge fan you know we have a mutual friend in

common uh my my friend Theo and Tucker says oh I love Theo he's so funny he's like yeah he just

he loves being out in Idaho and he's like Theo he loves being out in Idaho. And he's like, Theo, Vaugh, out in Idaho? Like the old. He's like, oh, yeah, you know, Theo, well, he's good too. He's not very funny, but he's good to. There's two Theo's in the world, but if you had to be one of the top two, I think that's fine. So what was your role in birthright citizenship?

Yeah, so birthright was, I mean, it was essentially my baby for two years.

So I drafted the original executive order, and that was assigned to me by Stephen Miller,

and had to navigate that through the rapids of the internal processes of the White House.

You know, everyone always thinks that the White House is full of people who all get along and it's all hunky dory and everyone's on the same team.

But White House Counsel's Office at that time was deeply, deeply hostile to the idea of birthright citizenship,
