I think the notion of signing tax pledges or saying we're not raising taxes at all is completely out of touch with what we're spending and what people want to spend.

The deficit has disappeared from view, which is why the debt is only being discussed by deficits gold groups.

This downswing in oil prices is creating habit for a lot of people,

but it's a huge benefit, and consumers aren't really spending all this yet.
