Eleanor there's a lot of media frenzy about, oh, they're all moving to Ireland, or they're doing

this, or they're doing that.

What do we want from our pharmaceutical industry

well uh... com we think we want a lot from our pharmaceutical industry uh... lately a hot

topic uh... in addition of course to wonder cures for our various ailments is we would like

lower generic drug prices if there's a lot of heat around that topic and the Federal Trade Commission has been taking some of that heat at least from the hill

but we did an analysis that shows based on the FTC's data and running that through a tool on the on our corporate

transactions that's called Deal Analytics we we found that the FTT is actually

already looking very closely at pharmaceutical mergers.

Well, what brings them in at a time when everybody is also concerned about these pharmaceutical

mergers because they figure it's just a tax deal?

Well, the tax deal is a separate issue. Of course, in versions blew up the recent big planned

merger between Pfizer and Alargan. That issue is if they are going to have

failed in the US we would really prefer that they would pay taxes here as well. The inversion issue, they've brought new

regulations that restrict how those are booked, that killed that merger.

But other mergers that ordinarily involves mostly just merging to companies that are looking to get efficiencies from combining their
