Premier gets underway this weekend I'm Andy Kelly I'm joined by

Christian Walsh and I'm joined by James Pierce Rock and a decent bronzy back from the American tour and indeed the heat of Germany last Sunday Percy and we go into the season on the back of a funny weekend,

brilliant result against Barcelona on the face of it, and then you were over in mines and obviously a very different result.

Is that is that where Liverpool are still at inconsistencies or was this just simply a matter of

game too far in preseason?

Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily read anything at all into that Minds game.

I was over there and they just all looked absolutely shattered.

And you know, I think you only had to, to you know I think Saturday was a better indication

of where Liverpool are at in terms of preseason I think you know you shouldn't go overboard

in terms of that result because obviously Barcelona were undercooked and not as

advanced as Liverpool in their preparations but I certainly wouldn't be remotely

concerned going into this weekend on the back of that mines defeat because it was a sweltering hot day over there.

You know for mines it was a huge deal to have Liverpool in town.

But for the players, for Liverpool players, it wasn't a big deal.

And to be honest, I think they had speaking to a few of the players, they got to the hotel

at one o'clock in the morning, after a late night flight from London after the

game at Wembley, you know, I think at least a

dozen players who were involved in that game against mines played some minutes

against Barcelona and regardless of how much you played you know I think it's

very difficult to get yourself up for

two games in two days physically and mentally and you know I think even someone like a
