A lot of people were going crazy about it, but a lot of it was also like big DJ saying, if we get this many Patreon people, I'll do a Christmas song. And they're like, yeah, okay. We'll do it because you're asking for Patreon stuff. We probably don't, we, we're not asking for you to do a Christmas song. So it was kind of one of those things. Um, but Phoebe Bridgers was going to do an Iris cover no matter what, and it was going to sound great because it's Phoebe Bridgers. But there was a little bit of that to it of like, all right. Now, like, yeah, it's like kind of ironic that you would do that. And cool. Let's, let's hear it. And it started with with her she posted on an instagram story in the studio

she was playing iris and then uh she posted later if trump loses i'll post i'll do an iris cover so was that

promise made during uh election week is that why i missed it as maybe it, I feel like it was a couple days before the election, but it was, it was around

there. Okay. Yeah, that would make sense then. But yeah, like, when I saw that it was posted,

uh, and that she, like, tweeted it out, I rolled my eyes. Definitely rolled my eyes.

Just being like, it's a, it's a really cliche cover.

And, you know, it's very, it's like on brand for Phoebe Bridgers, I guess.

But like, I rolled my eyes like, oh, this is just going to be like, I know exactly what it's going to be.

And it's just whatever, man.

And then I listened to it and I was like

holy fuck it's awesome right it was I mean I wasn't uh wasn't crazy it was just it's a really good

arrangement um didn't wasn't crazy about the verse but uh the end of the chorus really got me.
