I'm Zoe Colkin for the Wall Street Journal. We're exclusively reporting Blackstone is officially

launching a new business unit to compete in the race to bring private assets, like private equity

and private credit, into the $13 trillion defined contribution retirement plan market.

The new unit will sit inside Blackstone's $280 billion private wealth group,

focusing on creating products and managing key partnerships, like the one announced earlier this year

with Vanguard Group and Wellington Management to develop offerings that combine

public and private assets and educate investors about private assets. President Trump signed

an executive order in August directing federal regulators to ease the inclusion of non-traditional

assets and employer-sponsored 401 plans, a major step toward opening up this market to firms like Blackstone.

Novo Nordisk is taking over the drug Zaltanibart, a treatment for rare blood and kidney disorders

from Omaros. The agreement grants Novo Nordisk exclusive worldwide rights to develop and sell the drug,

which has demonstrated promising results in clinical trials

for treating a rare blood disorder and offers potential to treat some rare renal diseases.

Omaros is eligible to receive $340 million up front and near-term milestone payments of up to

$2.1 billion, including potential development and commercial milestones, on top of tiered

royalties on net sales.

And an NVIDIA AI startup, Poolside, is partnering with cloud infrastructure provider Corweave

to build a huge new data center complex on a West Texas ranch over 500 acres in the heart
