Black female reporter covering urban issues from the White House.

It's none other than April Ryan. She is an incredible lady.

She can be seen on CNN as a political analyst.

She's also the Washington DC bureau chief on the Grio.

She's been featured in Essence, Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Elle magazines.

And her impact in both journalism and politics is well known, regarded and has been profound.

She's come out with a great new work that we're going to get into called Black Women Will Save the World,

in which she presents a kaleidoscope of experiences, trials and tribulations,

and how despite all of that, Black women continue to move forward, persevere and make space for young women

who are coming behind them and giving credit to the generation of women who came before them.

It is an incredibly fun and thoughtful conversation.
