It's been a wild like last three months.

It seems like it's been a decade at least.

For sure, I feel like even in sending emails I just like do kind of a temperature check and like I always end now with like in solidarity because it's just such a wild time to be existing.

Yeah and it's happening everywhere too and it's hard to follow it's not just

concentrated in one area so can you start by

introducing yourself and where you're calling from you know who you are what you do

maybe talk a little bit about your film project.

Absolutely, so I'm calling from New York State.

My name, my full name is Dominique Remy.

I am right now a Twitter enthusiast so people can find

me being most active on that platform.

But overall, I am a filmmaker and writer.

And as Nick alluded to, I am working on a feature link documentary on maternal mortality and morbidity in communities of color, specifically the communities that are most affected are black and indigenous and we're

utilizing a reproductive justice lens to tell a broader story about those

racial disparities because what I like to say which alludes to the title of the film, which is Canary, that like,

although, you know, the immediate like reasons why certain demographics are dying or you know

hurting so much aren't immediately perceptible, it's still deadly nonetheless like canaries in the coal mine.
