to Quinton I'm gonna do my best to try to explain all of the commotion

Washington around this debt limit the reconciliation

infrastructure and all the infighting happening between Democrats is

the core elements of President Biden's domestic agenda hangs in the balance.

First, let's talk about the debt ceiling. For starters, what the fuck is the debt

selling anyway? Well, the United States is one of the few countries that has a

legal limit on how much we can borrow to pay our bills when they're due and as we

pass legislation that requires that we pay people, build projects, spend money and pay interest on the money we

borrow before, we have to borrow the difference between what our revenues can pay for and

our bills that are due. Think of it as like a credit card with a limit and as we spend more on things we want the government to do,

we have to raise our credit limit to authorize the dollars to pay our bills as they come due. If we don't, we run the risk of defaulting on our bonds the same way

we could all have collections on credit card payments that we don't pay. And that will cause all kinds of

damage to the American economy that we don't want to see. Republicans have basically

said fuck it on raising a debt limit. so Democrats have to do it on their own and I think they will but not before all kinds of drama that's where we are on that now separate from that we've got over one trillion dollars

in infrastructure spending that we need to get done. We should all be able to

agree that we need more money for new roads, bridges, public transit, and

everything else and we should be having a vote on
