Welcome to the TransLash podcast, a show where we tell trans stories to save trans lives.

Well, this week is the premiere of HBO Max's brand new show and program, House of the Dragon,

which extends and continues to tell the stories from the Game of Thrones universe this time as a prequel.

And like so many people in our community, I am a sci-fi and fantasy nerd. I can geek out about that more than you

probably even want to know about. And we look forward to telling more sci-fi and fantasy stories

and have those conversations here on the Translash podcast. But this week, in anticipation of

House of Dragons release on Sunday, August the 21st, I was on the thrilling podcast, Black Girl nerds, to talk about House of the Dragon.

And specifically the way in which issues around gender, gender identity, actually, sexuality and race are all playing out in this series

in new and powerful ways.

And so, Jamie, who is the host of the Black Girl Nerds podcast, had me on to talk about that,

and we had a wide-ranging conversation about so many of the intersections that we live
