So this week I had the opportunity to have just a wonderful and illuminating chat with Dr. Candice Watts-Smith.

She's a professor of political science at Duke

University, and she's written several really interesting books and co-written them. She wrote

the history of politics and race in America from 1968 to the present. She co-wrote racial stasis

and also stay woke. And recently she wrote, or I guess the

most recent before this book, she wrote, sorry, Black Mosaic, the Politics of Black Panethnic

Diversity, which we will talk about a little bit on the show. But she has a new book out. It's called

Black Evidence, A History and a Warning. And I think

there's kind of a great top line right as you dive into the book. It says a fierce expose of

American resistance to believing black people and its devastating effects throughout history.
