Hello, the newscast swap shop of tips and tricks to get us through lockdown and solve

our lockdown dilemmas is going great guns. We obviously had Simon Jack and his

lentil situation and we got this from Ronnie in Newcastle.

For the first time in my adult life I'm 66 years old I'm doing a jigsaw puzzle.

It started off quite well, got the edges, a London bus, it's a London jigsaw in the right hand corner,

but since then I've been really stuck. I've actually sort of done

only I think three pieces in the last hour, but I've heard that you're a nerd at jigsoe. Is there any tip, any sort of magic thing that I can do that will make me do these things better?

Normally we'd get you to give your suggestions, but I think I'll do this one.

So well obviously you've done the basics which is to do the edges.

That's super important and you should not skimp on that even if you get a

bit bored of looking for the edge pieces. What you then need to do is be quite strategic and look for things that are going to be really easy.

Like is there one particular area that's a particular color. I also like to

look for lines because they're quite easy to do because you can spot lines quite easily and

amongst all the pieces.

So can you see other like verticals or horizontal or

diagonals that you can kind of focus on?

And also that gives you a bit of a spine

that you can then attach the other pieces to.
