0:06.2	It's been in the news a lot lately.
0:07.7	But this person is someone who was born a man and started swimming competitively in college
0:12.1	as a male and then just a few years ago decided to transition to become a woman started
0:16.8	competing in women's sports at the University of Pennsylvania and literally started blowing

0:23.1	And you know some people say that this person, Leah Thomas went from 65th on the men's team
0:27.3	to first on the women's team.
0:29.1	This has created quite a splash, no pun intended.
0:31.9	And it's just crazy because now Leah Thomas is bumped up even higher in the news.
0:35.4	Everybody's talking about it because just recently the University of Pennsylvania nominated
0:39.8	Thomas for the 2022 NCAA woman of the year.
0:45.0	And this is so controversial for obvious reasons because now we have a person who's
0:48.4	a biological man being nominated as the woman of the year and we're told by basically everyone
0:53.5	that if we don't jump on board with this, if we don't celebrate this as women, if we
0:56.8	don't cheer, Leah Thomas on saying, yes, you go, girl, then we are basically bigoted.

1:02.8	We're transphobes.
1:03.8	And so this is something that we're told we have to celebrate.
