I'm so grateful to have you guys here. In the great new tradition of Pop Pantheon, let's kick

things off by reading some of my favorite recent reviews that you guys have so graciously left

on Apple Podcasts. The first comes from Jotade, who says, I rarely binge

podcasts, but I've now done exactly that with PP. I really appreciate how it manages to be

not just knowledgeable about the artists and their music, but also contextualizes them within their

specific moment in time. As someone who missed the 90s and 2000s due to a very conservative

upbringing, it made me aware of a lot of dynamics and musical micro trends I missed at the time.

DJ Louie and guests also managed to thread the needle of both giving due and good natured dragging all artists on her discussion.

Oh my God.

I know everyone is clambering for an F on their top tier diva that they stand, but I often find the discussions of lower tier niche legends even more fascinating. Me too, actually, I have to agree. Would love one hit wonders, middling solo careers after group breakups, and failures from across the pond, hi Rita. Also, Casey, Azalea, Jesse, Solange, Lana, Sky, wow. Kim, Vanessa Carlton, Paris. Yes, these are all good. So thank you so much for that. Next is from Birdburn, who says, I'm obsessed. I've been ranking the girls using a tier structure in my head for years. So when I found out that there was a podcast that did the same thing, I immediately felt a kinship. DJ Louis expertly blends technical knowledge, historical context, and passionate fandom to create an endlessly compelling and fun podcast. Thanks to pop pantheon. I finally have the vocabulary to describe why Beyonce is on a different level than Gaga and Rihanna. Wow. What a service I'm providing. Thank you so much for that. And finally, a couple last ones. Anonymous says, amazing podcast, smart, informative, entertaining, would love episodes about George Michael. Yes, Shadeh, yes, Pet Shop Boys, yes, and Mary J. Blige, absolutely.
