Wendy, after a long hiatus, after a three week, is it two weeks or three weeks that we have not recorded a podcast?

First of all, hiatus.

Hi, hiatus. That sounds dirty. I know.

Right off the bat, you're a shock, right off the bat.

I think it's been three weeks. We've had a lot going on, both of us.

Well, but yours, this is sad, and I already asked you if you're comfortable about talking

this, and you are, but you have really been through the ringer the last couple of weeks.

Yeah. Actually, the last three months have not been great. My cousin, Susie, she's my first cousin, that's aunt's daughter, Aunt Aunt,

she passed away.

Yeah.

And it's just a crazy whirlwind of crap.

She was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in the summer of 2020. So maybe a little earlier.

And then a few months after that, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which just sucks big time because it's bad enough you get one and then within six months you get

another diagnosis that is not very good yeah um usually when ovarian cancer rears its ugly head

it is usually pretty well advanced and she went through two chemo sessions, and it seemed to be responding.

But there were just so many other issues that hit her.

And she pretty much became bedridden.

She just became so weak that she couldn't handle that last chemo, and she decided to go on hospice,

which is just something I have never dealt with.

My whole life, all the deaths in my family have been sudden, which forces you to get over it.
