Everything normal? No. No, it sure is not. Anything normal? You know, you and I have, we've certainly

mentioned this in the past. Neither you nor I are particularly interested in making this show political.

I just think that some time needs to be devoted to everything that went down yesterday.

We're taping this on Thursday afternoon, and yesterday was really one of the worst days I think I've ever seen in terms of

what's happened to our country, you know? Um, 9-11 will always jump to the forefront of those

days. Uh, I think because that one came out of nowhere, I don't think anyone expected it.

Yesterday was a little bit different, uh, because despite what what some people have said in the past 20 hours of, boy, who would have expected this?

I have to be honest, Wendy, I expected this.

Didn't you to some extent?

I expected it to some extent.

I will give you that.

I didn't expect it to be so easy to get into the Capitol building.

Right.

I still have so many questions about that where, you know, some police officers seem to be moving the blockades.

They were posing for selfies with the people.

There were a lot of things that I didn't understand. I want to just throw one thing out there watching

this all unfold yesterday and hearing that the National Guard was finally called in.

And then an hour went by and no National Guard showed up.

And we find out later that our commander in chief, Donald Trump, had postponed that, it appears.

And I don't know, was he getting into just watching people
