On episode 51, we talked at great lengths about the loss of the great Carl Reiner.

The show started out with you saying, I bet you're sad today, and boy, you nailed it.

It took a lot.

I'm going to be honest. I never met Mr. Re reiner but it took a lot out of me it did no it did and and i think i think we covered it well he was one of those guys

that you felt like you even if you didn't know him through his work you felt like you knew him

and boy did he contribute

to the world of comedy. I had written down, I think you read a couple of tributes. You read

one from his son, Rob Reiner, didn't you last week? Yeah. Or on the last show. Dick Van Dyke

said some, as you would imagine, some very kind things about him as well.

I'm looking for that.

I had that somewhere.

Oh, here it is.

My idol, Carl Reiner, wrote about the human comedy.

He had a deeper understanding of the human condition that I think even he was aware of.

Kind, gentle, compassionate, empathetic, and wise.

His scripts were never just funny.

They always had something to say about us.

And every word of that is true.

So we talked about him.
