Speaking of number one, it was in round number one, where the Indianapolis Colts in 2003 selected a tide end out of Iowa by the name of Dallas Clark and one of the highlight reels that was shown on that draft night was in, I think, 80-yard touchdown against Purdue.

And of course, he would become a great player for the Colts and now into the Ring of Honor and making a return

appearance on the program. The guy that drafted Dallas Clark also drafted some of the other

names in that Ring of Honor that goes without saying the former Colts president, Bill Pullian,

join us on the show. Bill, how are you? Good, Jay. How are you? I'm glad to be with you.

Well, I'm happy to have you on. And again,

you know, I think that it's interesting. When players get this kind of an award, whether it be,

you know, the Hall of Fame or in this case, the Colts Ring of Honor, I know that ultimately

it is an individual honor for the player, but for, from the executive level, you have to take a tremendous amount of pride in it,

because with any pick that you get, it's going to be scrutinized.

It certainly is a validation of your selections, but also, I think, just being able to see the growth

of players from wide-eyed young guys to players that come back for this sort of an honor.

So your reaction in hearing that Dallas Clark will join you in the Colts Ring of Honor.

Well, gratitude on a lot of fronts.

Number one, that I had the opportunity to draft him.

Number two, that I was fortunate enough to be around and see all that growth and development

that came in Dallas. And then finally, gratitude to have him as a teammate, because if you

looked in the dictionary and looked up the definition of great teammate, you'd see Dallas

Clark's picture there.

So very thankful to have had the opportunity to draft him and work with him for all those years

and very thankful for all he did for us.
