Hey, what's up, everybody? Welcome into Tom Caron's Patriots Talk podcast. It's

Thanksgiving week and we give thanks for the Senator Phil Perry who is alongside the Patriots. Well,

we give thanks for them in general because for us chroniclers in the media or fans or anybody

who's experienced the run of greatness, it's been a great time.

Right now is not a great time, Phil.

They're two and eight, and they've got a game against the hapless giants that they're

probably going to lose.

What gives it quarterback?

What do we know so far as this week has gone along?

Well, man, Tom, we don't know much. We know what Bill O'Brien told us, which is you have to earn your roles in practice. We know what Bill Belichick told us, which is he wants every player to be ready to play. And we know what we saw out of practice. And I've seen one practice to this point in the week. You saw two quarterbacks

taking reps, Mack Jones and Bailey Zappy. Mac Jones was up first. Bailey Zappy was up second. Both,

I would say, were working with the same caliber players. Wasn't Devante Parker and Juju Schuster for Mac and Bailey Zappi got the rest.

And they took about two reps each and sort of a double barrel kind of practice period that we

saw.

And Will Greer stood off to the side, did not take any reps during the media availability portion.

Malik Cunningham was present.

I didn't see him play either quarterback or receiver while we were out there.

So this looks like a two-man race for the starting quarterback job right now.

And it looks like it could be another hold my beer moment for bill bellichick where everyone says

we can't go back to mac jones not after you pull him down four with the game on the line

you've crossed the rubicon oh have i hold my beer here's bill bellichick when he spoke to us
