Today we're happy to bring back to the Pop Bear Podcast Dan of Bigfoot Backpacker.

Last time Dan was on, we shared stories about backpacking experiences and some of our various

excursions into the outdoors. But today, Dan, we're going to talk about Bigfoot himself.

Dan, welcome back to Pop Bear Hikes.

Thank you so much. It's always a pleasure to speak with you. I certainly appreciate your time and yeah, it's always a lot of fun.

So, you know, we've talked about our backpacking, etc. as I said in the introduction, but I'd like to know a little bit more about Bigfoot

because it seems to me that there is a big following out there. I mean, there are websites dedicated to it

and discussion groups. And from what I understand, you're a Bigfoot follower.

I am. And, you know, I get asked every now and again, you know, what got you into all this?

And it's hard for me to know exactly when I remember, you know, being an elementary school in the 70s

and seeing, you know, books with that are strange and, you know, different articles that we'd have to do research on.

And I always kind of pick something that related to the outdoors, of course.

And I came across, of course, like so many people, the Patterson, Gimlin, photograph, famous photograph of patty, stretching her arms out

and giving the look back toward Roger Patterson, what he's, when he's filming this, and it just baffled my mind

because I thought, you know, I've been out in the woods a whole lot, even at my young little age here.

And are these things out there? And so it, it, it got me captivated, but not to the point where I was completely saturated with it.
