At the end of the movie, Blue Chips, it's a very famous sports movie.

Nick Nolte plays the, came out in the early 90s.

Nick Nolte plays a college basketball coach, an imaginary college.

And there's very famous basketball players in a Shaquille O'Neal, Anthony Hartway,

Matt Nover, who was a star at IU.

And the coach is sort of in the mold of Bob Knight.

It's pretty clear that that's who they were thinking of,

and Bob Knight's actually in the movie.

And the movie is filmed here in Indiana at the Frankfurt Gymnasium.

And the whole premise of the movie is Nick Nolte, much like Bob Knight, is sort of becoming this dinosaur of college basketball and would never cut a corner to be successful.

And his glory days had kind of passed him.

And he was the university and the donors and the boosters were, you know, sort of getting on him.

And he never, ever cut a corner.

And he finally decides that winning is so important to him that he will go against every

fiber of his being and everything that he knows to be right and wrong.

And he will finally agree to allow these superstar freshman players to come in

and be paid to play.

And I think once a movie's been out 30 plus years, you can spoil it for people, right?

But if you're desperate to see the movie Blue Chips, cover your ears for the next minute.

At the end of the movie, though, the pressure, even though he finally has this great

team, and he beats IU of all people, and Bob Knight, the pressure of knowing he's done wrong

becomes too much for him. And he stooges on himself at the end of the movie. And he gives
