So I keep doing this thing where all I want to talk about are the things that piss me off.

And they'll also piss you off, and then we can be pissed off together.

But the other day, I was noodling around on the internet, and I was on threads, which is owned by Meta, which is Mark Zuckerberg's company.

So I'm over there, noodling around.

And I stumble upon some interesting information about data mining, the thing that Meadow was doing as I was scrolling.

A few weeks ago, the Department of Homeland Security sent a memo out to folks in that business, the data business.

It's called an RFI, a request for information, and here's a snippet.

The Department of Homeland Security, DHS, immigration, and customs enforcement, ICE,

is gathering information to better understand how the industry's commercial big data and ad tech

providers can directly support investigation activities.

So that's a bit scary, right?

And then I saw this woman say, you have every right to be scared.

I work in that industry.

But you're scared for the wrong reasons.
