My name is Callie Black here with all the context you need to totally rock this week's

Come Follow Me readings.

This week is April 27th through May 3rd, and we are studying Exodus chapters 35 through 40 and Leviticus

chapters 1, 4, 16, and 19. It is time to focus on the tabernacle. Are you ready to dive in on this?

I am so excited to study this week. Let's start with a quick

reminder of where we're at. So Moses had been up on Mount Sinai, right? He had been receiving

commandments from the Lord while the remainder of the Israelites camped near its base. Now, Moses had

returned down to the mountain base. He had seen the

Israelites who had made a golden calf and were worshipping idols, and then he had returned back to

the mountain to plead for mercy on behalf of the children of Israel. And last week, we skipped

quite a few chapters in which the Lord gave Moses directions for constructing

a holy tabernacle. And I said, don't worry, this might seem important what we're skipping,

but we're going to cover it more next week. And so we're here in the Exodus chapters. I just

want to focus on the Exodus chapters first, and then we'll talk about Leviticus. So in Exodus

chapters 35 through 40,

which is the full, full reading, we're not skipping any chapters in this portion and we're

finishing the book of Exodus. We're going to read about how the Israelites followed the Lord's

directions with exactness and built a tabernacle.

And so as you read through this very detailed description of what the Israelites did to build a tabernacle, I just encourage you to look for lots of modern, lots of parallels for what we see
