| 0:00.0 | Hey everyone. This is James Lindsay, and you're listening to New Discourse's Bullets, |
| 0:14.6 | where I give a bullet point-like summary of a single topic from woke Marxism or |
| 0:19.1 | wokeness overall that we need to understand so that we can defeat it. |
| 0:22.1 | And I want to talk today about a bunch of ideas that come together. |
| 0:25.6 | But first, I'm trying to remember to market myself a little bit. |
| 0:28.9 | So please like, share, and subscribe or whatever I'm supposed to say in order to get people to remember that spreading this around helps. |
| 0:37.2 | That's why I make it. and your subscriptions are valuable and appreciated. |
| 0:41.3 | I want to combine a bunch of ideas that I've put out in the past about how |
| 0:45.3 | abundance and wealth are created. I did a podcast about that. |
| 0:48.3 | And about big government and incentive structures and the idea of first, second, and third |

| 1:22.3 | that we've instantiated ourselves to our own advantage. They'll use them against us. |
| 1:27.1 | But there's a deeper reason also why we want to have less government involvement directly in our lives. And the reason this is relevant is both on the woke left and on the woke right, there are arguments being made that we should be wielding the government in order to create the economy that works for the people, |
| 1:47.5 | allegedly the people that it's supposed to represent. |
| 1:50.4 | So the woke left, like Zora Mandani in New York City, is going to mobilize the government. |
| 1:56.8 | He said in his acceptance speech of winning the New York City mayor election a few weeks ago, |
| 2:03.7 | he said specifically that there would be no problem too small for government to care about. |
| 2:11.3 | And so the idea is that they're going to weaponize government or utilize government in order to try to get involved in more and more things. |
