Today is the Friday of the second week of the Synod on Synodality, and it's been an interesting 18 hours

from Rome. Most interesting breaking news, the unsecured cloud server hosting confidential

synod documents is connected to an online portal created for participants

and can be accessed by anyone with the web address without a password or any other identification

or a security measure. There's a confidential synodality synodoc posted to an unsecured server.

Unbelievable.

That set of synod docs was not meant to be posted because Francis has sworn these synod fathers to silence at this synod, unlike the last few.

We've talked about that a lot over the last two weeks.

But there's a confidential server that is not secured, though it's unconfidential.

And you can go read those records from the Vatican's October Synod the first couple weeks, week and a half

anyway. And the records were updated as recently as yesterday. I think it's still up. The records

include rosters of synodal participants in their working group assignments, along with

the reports filed by the working groups at the conclusion of the synod's first segment of

discussion. This is fascinating because it only took about a week from Wednesday to Thursday of

the following week before the confidentiality seal was broken.

It's very hard to keep a gag order in place.
