Week one of the Big 12 football season is basically in the book.

So it's our first reaction show after a ton of action.

To be clear, it wasn't great. It wasn't. The Big 12 went one in three in its power four games.

Now, if you want to be an optimist, you'll look at this and

you'll say, well, the only game they were favored in was Utah against UCLA and the Uts

absolutely blasted the Bruins. And that was impressive. I'll get to that here in a second.

But Cincinnati comes up short against Nebraska. You have Colorado coming

up short against Georgia Tech, and you have Baylor losing to Auburn. I'll talk about all these

games, but just out of the gates, those three losses, what pains me about them is not just that

they lost, not just that only Cincinnati covered the

spread, but that each of those games felt like they were motivated and driven by self-inflicted

wounds by the Big 12 team. Whether it's Colorado ending the game with two timeouts in his back

pocket, it's Baylor that still can't stop

the run. You or I could have been in the backfield for Auburn. We would have gashed him for
