Our focus is a couple of major sports stories that have happened over the past couple

days.

We'll talk about the World Series, but also the hiring of the Royal's new manager,

Matt Quattaro, who will be introduced

to the media on Thursday in Kansas City. So we'll get Ryan's thoughts on the new manager coming in,

what it means for the Royals going forward, how they are trying to emulate what the Cleveland

Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays are doing, and completely get Ryan's thoughts on a man that he's probably met a few

times but doesn't know particularly well. We'll see. We'll chat with Ryan and get all the

lowdown on the Royals new manager. Also, it was announced this weekend that the Big 12 has

agreed to a new television rights deal with ESPN and Fox for a whopping 73% increase,

ESPN gets the, I won't say run of house on this, but they get first selection on so many

things, including priority of the biggest college football games of the year in the Big 12.

They will also get the Big 12 championship

game and have more options within the contract that last six years through 2013. Fox was convinced

to stay in the deal after watching the parody in the Big 12 the last couple of years, how unpredictable

it is week to week knowing that there are good games, close games,

and more parity than in the other conferences. I think that's very interesting to hear Fox say,

yep, we're staying in, we like this league, we like the product that it delivers. And I think
