Man, oh man, oh man, we have a new number one team at the top of the Big 12 football power

All right. Let's get to the Big 12 football power rankings for week seven in the conference. And there is a brand new number one.

And that brand new number one team for a seventh straight week is the Iowa State Cyclones.

Iowa State is number one in the hearts of everybody in Ames, and they are number one in the

power rankings this week, because guess what?

They continue to not just prove me wrong, it's not about me, but I'm continuing to watch a team

that is getting better every week under Matt Campbell and is continuing to find its footing in a way that I didn't necessarily think it was going to do.

Every week I look at the game and I say, you know, I don't know if I buy the cyclones this week.

I just, I don't know.

And then this past week, they're down 14.3 and they absolutely blast Baylor the rest of the way, 40 to 7. I know that they don't

have a great Big 12 win. They've only played Houston and Baylor, but the road win at Iowa is an

impressive win, as we've talked about for the last several weeks. And here's the thing. I put them in

the one spot up from number five five because I had BYU at number

one last week. And Iowa State's win against Baylor was much more impressive than BYU's win was

against Baylor. So I'm factoring that into the equation here as well. And BYU, of course, had a

buy week. And I'm saying with a common opponent here

and a really good road win for Iowa State at Iowa, BYU's best winner is at home against
