President Biden said he will stop sending certain weapons to Israel if it invades Raffa.

The U.S. has warned Israel for weeks against invading the crowded city of Raffa in southern

Gaza.

The administration has already paused at least one weapons delivery to Israel because of concerns about civilian casualties,

and a full-scale invasion of Rafa could kill many more civilians.

Yesterday, President Biden spoke to CNN.

He acknowledged that US weapons have been used to kill civilians

in other crowded areas of Gaza.

That includes controversial 2,000 pound bombs.

Civilians have been killed in Gaza as a consequence of those bombs and other ways in which

they go after population centers.

I made it clear that if they go into Rafa,

they haven't gone on Rafa yet.

If they go into Rafa, I'm not supplying the weapons

that have been used historically to deal with Rafa, to deal with the cities, to deal with that problem.

This was Biden's clearest warning to Israel in over seven months of war.
