COVID cases seem to be on the rise, but so is vaccination.

The president announces infrastructure plan this week and the chances of bipartisanship

seem well unlike meanwhile migrants continue to arrive at the border.

We've had a reminder that the terror of mass shootings still exists and we've seen an

uptick in anti-Asian racism crossover into outright violence.

So forget the first 100 days marker, it's March 31st today that we're recording this.

It's the end of the first quarter of the year of 2021.

So in that sense, I want to do a check in if how is Washington doing?

So to do that, we have three experts from different sort of silos of Washington if you will,

joining me this week for these different perspectives on that question.

I'll be joined by Andrew Marinus, he's author of Singled Out.

It's a biography of Glen Burke.

He was the first openly gay, major league baseball player.

He was also the inventor of the high five.

And let's just say he was not exactly treated and welcomed with open arms when he played

in the 70s.
