Joe Biden's handlers have announced their latest election year fig leaf for the president,

one of his weakest issues, if not the weakest issue.

He issued long-expected executive actions yesterday to clamp down on illegals seeking asylum, and in doing so, is at the stage for a U.S. border with Mexico

to be shut down between ports of entry at midnight. That action and accompanying rule from the

Biden administration allows the president to suspend asylum claims in between ports of entry,

meaning illegal entries, where there is an average of 2,500 crossings

a day over a seven-day period. So this is not really clamping down on illegal immigration at all,

as we talked about a couple of months ago when this was first rumored. It's just capping it at

2,500 a day, which is many thousands a year. Joe Biden got in front of the media and spoke

about his executive actions

yesterday. Frankly, I would have preferred to address this issue through bipartisan legislation

because that's the only way to actually get the kind of system we have now that's broken,

fixed. Of course, that's an utter lie that he's reciting from his teleprompter there. He

always had the power as the chief executive of a sovereign nation to enforce the borders of said nation.

But, of course, it was more convenient for the Biden administration to play political football with the issue of illegal immigration.

So at least capping illegal immigration at 2,500 a day seems like a step in the

right direction, although that seems insane to say whatsoever. Not so fast, though, Allie Bradley of

News Nation said she obtained a new internal memo to immigration and customs enforcement.

The executive associate director says that Customs and Border Patrol will not question illegal aliens who cross the southern border and are processed for expedited removal while the limitation is effect regarding their fear of return.
