U.S. weapons to strike inside Russia in recent days. That's according to a U.S. senator and

Western official familiar with the matter. The weapons were used recently under approved

guidance from President Joe Biden, allowing American arms to be used to hit targets inside

Russia for the limited purpose of defending Kharkiv. That's Ukraine's second largest city.

The officials speaking to the

Associated Press were not authorized to comment publicly on the sensitive matter and spoke

anonymously. Republican Senator Mike Rounds of South Dakota, a member of the Senate Armed Services

Committee, confirmed the strikes with U.S. weapons, but did not say how he was briefed. Obviously, this is

not, as I said, a positive development. Put yourself in the shoes of one Vladimir Putin. He sees

American-made weapons being used to hit targets inside his own country. How would you respond

if you were in his shoes? This is just dumb policy from the United States in the midst of a war that's at the

very least dumb, maybe something closer to demonic. An appeals court has halted the Georgia
