On Tuesday, the Biden administration announced support for a bill that would end the sentencing

disparity in certain drug offenses.

between crack and powder cocaine.

The continuation of the sentencing disparity is a significant injustice in our legal system,

and it's past time for it to end.

Therefore, the administration urges the swift passage of eliminating a quantifiably unjust

application of the law act or the Equal Act.
