Hello and welcome to the Byron York Show, the No-Chit-Chit podcast.

We like to get right into it and what we're going to get into today is something that President

Joe Biden said recently and the problem that creates for democratic politicians all across

the country who run what they call sanctuary cities or sanctuary states, sanctuaries

for illegal immigrants.

So I've talked a lot previously about the fundamental difference between Republicans and Democrats

when it comes to the crisis on the US-Mexico border.

Now when they are confronted with more than two million illegal border crossers overwhelming

US authorities on the border last year, when they're confronted with that.

And by the way, 250,000 more crossers last month, December 2022, that's an indication

the figure is going to be even higher in this year, this fiscal year.

Now when they are confronted with that evidence, Republicans want to find a way to stop the

flow.

Democrats want to accommodate it.

Now maybe some of you think that's an exaggeration or an oversimplification.

It is not.

We're just going to, we're going to listen today to what President Biden said in Mexico City

last week has a summit with the Mexican President Lopez Obrador and the Canadian Prime Minister

Justin Trudeau.

Okay, so Biden says we cannot wall ourselves off from shared problems.

Now that is a veiled swipe, of course, at Biden's predecessor, President Donald Trump, whose

border policies were infinitely more effective than Joe Biden still Biden says we cannot
