And that excites me to no end. Honestly, the year that we just spent in the Book of Mormon was incredible.

And I hope that you're excited to make this transition now. Fast forward 1,400 years, and fly from Camammora back to Cymorah, where we're going

to meet Joseph Smith, the coming forth of the book of Mormon, the revelations that begin

to flow in his direction that are now recorded in the pages of the Doctrine and Covenants.

I know that many of you, or at least some of you, are concerned about this year of Scripture

For you, the Doctor in Covenants

is the least exciting book of scripture. I get that. My grandma, as saintly as she was,

would always complain about the Doctor in Covenants and just dismiss it with a wave of the hand

and say, ah, it's just a book of rules, a book of rules. Well, it is so much more than a book of rules,

as I hope we will come to discover and appreciate this year.

Honestly, people will often ask me, as a teacher,

And to me, that's like choosing between your children.

For me, my favorite book of scripture

is whichever one I happen to be studying and teaching at the time.

So guess what? My favorite just shifted from the Book of Mormon to the Doctor in Covenants,
