Welcome to Middays. I'm Susie Larson, so honored to get to spend this time with you. In fact, I look forward to bringing you conversations every single day that hopefully inspire you in your faith walk, the deepening your understanding of God's word, and that heightens your awareness of his very real presence in your life. And boy, what days that we live in. I just want to say,

maybe you've heard me say this before, but this is a time to really limit your intake of news that

causes distress. I was watching an online sermon yesterday, and he said, I had moved from being

informed to consumed. And consumed is

Googling everything, looking for every news headline to the point that you get worked into such

a tizzy and so much angst that you've lost your sense of faith. And so my encouragement for you

today is really to steward your perspective. As a believer, steward your perspective, you know

how much grace you have to handle

how much news is out there. So limit that intake to what you can stand. But make sure your input

in scripture, your time in God's presence far outweighs the stuff that you're hearing on the

news, the chaos all around us. Because his promises are still true. He is still peace,

the prince of peace. He's the mighty counselor. He is still peace, the prince of peace.

He's the mighty counselor.

He is the everlasting father, and he will guide you every single step of the way.

I don't even plan on saying that, but maybe someone needed to hear that today.

Maybe I need an amen.
