Sid Holstlaw, who co-wrote the book with her husband, Jeff. Here it is. The title,

Does God Really Like Me, Discovering the God Who Wants to Be With Us. And let's say a word, if we can, about the waiting seasons of life.

When you feel like you're in this barren season, maybe you feel like you're not bearing any fruit,

and it feels like God lost your address.

What will you say to that person today?

First of all, you're not alone. You know, I mean, especially, like, even if we just think back to the story of Abram and

Sarah, you know, they waited so, so, so long for God's promises to be fulfilled.

And then just the people of Israel, how long they waited for the Messiah.

I think waiting is a big part of the story of the people of God.

And so we're in good company when we feel like we're waiting.

And I think, you know, just that God, so I don't know if this is going to sound strange,

but I think I feel sometimes that God likes to play hide and seek,

which I don't know if that is going to be bothersome for some people,

but the idea that God loves to be found, but if he's never hidden and if we never seek him,

then we don't have that joy of finding him.

And so I think in those seasons that feel like we can't find him, that feels like he's missing,

that feels like he's missing, that feels like

he's not around, that might just be part of building the anticipation of the seeking

so that when we do find him, the joy is so immense. And if life is always so good and we always

know that God is, I mean, like if we just have tangible sense of
