As I lived overseas in other places I had a need perspective and got to really value what we have for what it is and I've never lost sight of that since whether it's the ability of any

citizen anywhere to engage in the process and have access to those that represent

us in decision-making capacities but also like the way we take care of our lands and

waters and if we do a good job of being responsible stewards, they'll be here for the generations

that follow us.

Improving Habitat for one species benefits all.

So I always want to keep that in mind for folks when, you know, we are a hunting and fishing organization,

but we have to conserve and have that healthy habitat for all species.

There is an economic reason, in addition to a moral reason,

for saving endangered species.

I've had this conversation now for like 28 years and I think

that the ESA is one of the most visionary laws that America uniquely in the world pushed

through.
