Summary

It's April 1999, so Steve has finally gotten around to knowing what the Y2K bug and spectacularly overreacting with his doomsday prepping. Is this a healthy response to a possible technological meltdown or, as Janet suspects, a pretext for putting off planning for their future together? Recovering sex addict Katie decides she wants to take her relationship with David to the next level after fourteen months of celibacy; David is so horny that he goes with it instead of considering the implications of what she's asking of him. An ex-colleague of Matt's dumps a toxic waste cancer cluster case on him, which Matt is able to pursue thanks to Dylan's generous backing -- even after Matt tells him one of the defendants is Hunter Oil & Chemical. Noah's pissed. Then a series of farcical events leads to Dylan and Gina watching a nannycam video of an oblivious Matt and Kelly getting it on. Dylan's pissed. Dylan's attempts to get over his jealousy by staging an over-the-top date for Gina leads her to accuse him of having boned Kelly in Mexico, which he doesn't deny. Gina's pissed. In the background, Donna taps a pro beach volleyball player as her menswear muse, though she should be less worried about his pants than hers, which get increasingly hot for him as the episode wears on. 0:51.0	So even though it's only April, Steve is reading about Y2K in a real tabloid. What is the headline on it? You cut it for the visual aids. It just says we're all going to die, right?
0:59.8	Yeah. Evergreen. Every place Janet and Steve want to go on New Year's Eve is already booked. Steve doesn't get what the big deal is since it's just another year.
1:13.0	So David has to make with the doomsday predictions we may all remember having come to nothing.
1:18.6	I don't know if you're younger kids.
1:20.3	Ask your parents.
1:22.3	Dylan says he plans to stockpile, though he won't say what he plans to stockpile.
1:25.9	And it turns out he's just fucking with Steve anyway, but the effect has an effect. Janet is excited to have booked
1:33.7	them the last available room at a hotel in Hawaii, but Steve is spinning out about
1:37.5	preparing like he thinks Dylan recommended. Janet thinks he's just stalling to get out of taking
1:42.5	a vacation with her and passes on joining him for a trip to the prepper store.
1:47.7	And the next day, Steve apparently only makes it to the office to show off the case of smite and surplus government cheese he just bought intending to resell it at a huge markup.
