Welcome back to Beyond the Polls. This week we dive deep into three important Republican Senate primaries with Cook Political Reports, Jessica Taylor. Let's dive in.

Well, that was one of the bloodier political nights that I've seen in a while.

I think that yesterday's Indiana primary, where at least six incumbents, five of whom were

opposed by Donald Trump, one of whom was opposed by Trump's allies, but not Trump personally,

went down to defeat, with two more who are hanging on or

barely behind races within a couple hundred votes.

Could very well be eight Senate incumbents taken out because of their votes on redistricting.

This is going to go down as Trump's Indiana Cinco-Demayo massacre.

That what you saw was an exertion of power in its rawest bare-knuckle form,

millions of dollars of ads, both television, mail, and digital.

Clear message, Trump wants these people out.

And you know what?

Republican voters of Indiana agreed.

Overwhelmingly, There was one state senator who

won rather comfortably. Then there's the two state senators that may win, may lose. One is leading

by three votes. The others trailing by like 20 or 30 votes with thousands left to count. Everyone

else was wiped down.

No one else got closer than 18%.

One lost by over 50%.

This is a massacre.

This is somebody coming up with Tommy guns and gunning state senators.
