The topic we have for you today is we are going to be talking about weight loss and fad diets.

Yep. And it's really a tremendously important topic because everybody's like talking about these new weight loss drugs in the market today.

I know that was coming. We were on a walk and I remember we were talking about that and I saw some like DMs come in and even my friends were asking me. But I want to, before we get into the weight loss drugs, I want to ask you, what is your definition of a fad diet? What makes it a fad? Because could I argue that the Nutriarian diet, the diet that you named as a fad? A fad diet has certain criteria.

Number one, it's their advocating exclusion of some food or food group without legitimate scientific rationale.

And the features of the diet usually result in some

long-term harm not benefit right so the so it's not beneficial and it usually

you about this, it doesn't really surprise you. So it's like what's happening immediately might not be

the inner workings of something that's going to affect your overall health long term. Right. So it might not make itself that known that early. Right. You don't, when you smoke cigarettes, you don't get lung cancer after a year of smoking cigarettes. You could actually, it could help you like lose weight. I do all these things. Cigarettes help you lose weight. Yeah. You know, so you don't see that. You might be thinking I'm healthier.

But like before you knew cigarettes were bad for you, right?
