Summary

Dave Asprey — the father of biohacking — joins me for a deep dive into the hidden operating system that runs the human mind and body.

In this conversation, we explore how biohacking can be a doorway to something much bigger: real spiritual awareness, freedom from old survival patterns, and the power of forgiveness.

Dave breaks down his “Five F” framework — explaining how our mitochondria run ancient fear programs that shape how we react, think, and relate. He also shares why learning to forgive is the ultimate upgrade for a freer life.

In this bitesize you’ll hear:

  • How biohacking can open the door to deeper self-awareness

  • The science behind intuition and emotional triggers

  • Tools for releasing old stuck patterns and family baggage

  • Why forgiveness is the real superpower

  • How to rewire your inner operating system so you’re not run by fear

If you’re curious about the crossover between mind, body and spirit — and how to live with more flow and freedom — this one’s for you.

And if you want to go deeper and explore how to transcend the voice in the head and align with your intuition to get in flow, you can book a free inner consultation with me:

Most of us have learned to automatically and invisibly ignore intuition, replace it with emotion,

0:05.8

and then justify the emotion with a thought.

0:08.0

That precious knowledge, that intuition is the first and smallest thing, that's really precious.

0:13.6

If you can just tune into that, that's where the universe will guide you to do the things that matter the most.

Hello, this episode is with the father of biohacking, Dave Asprey.

0:35.4

Now, I haven't tended to be a huge fan of biohacking, not least because it only tends to focus on the body and mind, in my view, which misses what I see

0:38.9

is the key aspect of a fulfilling life well lived. But Dave came on my radar recently when a friend

0:45.3

suggested I'd check him out and I realized he was going deeper than the norm. And then coincidentally,

0:50.8

his team got in touch with me and sent me his new book called Heavily Meditated,

0:54.7

and I really saw that we were doing similar work to get people free from the egoic voice in the head

1:01.0

and back in alignment with their intuition and into flow.

1:05.4

Now, one of the subjects in Dave's book that I really enjoyed was around forgiveness

1:09.3

because seeing that the egoic tendency to personalise

1:14.1

the impersonal was one of the biggest and most freeing insights I've ever had. So that's the

1:19.9

thrust of this conversation and I hope you enjoy it. Dave Asprey, it's an absolute pleasure to have you on a new way of being. How are you?

1:30.2

I'm great, Simon. Fantastic. Well, like I've already told you before we start recording,

1:35.7

I'm really excited to have you on for various reasons. Thank you.

1:40.2

One of which is the following. Obviously, you're the father of biohacking. And there are a lot of people

1:46.5

who've followed in your footsteps and who, you know, talk about biohacking. And I think a lot of them

1:52.1

really focus on just the body in the mind, as far as I can see. You know, that could be nutrition

1:58.0

or what we're consuming, whether it be in terms of light

2:01.2

or anything like that and mindset as well.
