Okay, this is going to be a lot of fun.

We get this question a lot.

Danny and I on my show in mailbags of how do we think this player would do if they had to play in a previous era?

How would a player from

an old era look today? So John and I are going to talk about as a natural companion to what we

talked about these last two episodes talking about the greatest individual seasons of all time.

We were kind of thinking historically already here. So we wanted to really lay out what we think it would look like if certain players

played today or vice versa. So I think the place we want to start here, John, is just overall

what's changed since back in the day. Yeah. And so definition wise, what do we mean by back in the

day? And I think really pre, pre seven seconds or less, right?

Yeah.

When you get it like the 80s, 90s basketball where the floor wasn't open.

There were, it was post-up basketball, a lot of one-on-one isolation basketball.

The three-pointer wasn't nearly as big a part of people's arsenals.

So that's what really what made that game different.

I mean, if you go back to those Knicks teams from the 90s who were among the best teams in the league for a number of years, even though they never won a title, where Charles Smith, who would probably be a five today, was their starting three.

Yeah. And that's just, and they weren't the only team that played that way. I mean,

it was just, it was just a much bigger, slower, more physical game, and it was driven a lot

by one-on-one matchups. Yeah, you did. And certainly even the time period we're talking about, you know, I think really the late 80s,

early 90s is when the league kind of came into its own team started shooting at least a few

three-pointers.
