I'm Dan and I'm Dave, where identical twins from Small Town USA. Dave investigated sex crimes and crimes against children. He's now a patrol sergeant at his police department.

Always good to see you. Just as a side note, Small Town fan, we're all on Zoom. So, you know, in our house on the small town dick side, you might hear the cat zipper because you can't really have a zoom without zipper on Detective David's side.

Yes, ma'am. So I picked up a call about nine o'clock one evening from the children's hospital, the emergency room.

You know, as it's typical with the severe child abuse case, they won't give you very much information on the telephone. They just say, Hey, we've got an incident up here. We need to look at. So I arrived at the hospital. I probably got there about nine p.m.

And was immediately greeted by one of the hospital social workers and the on call ER pediatrician who advised that she was just evaluating and treating a two month old infant that was brought in earlier by the infants mother and will car Janice.

Do we want to give this child a name? I've just referred him as the victim. Yes, understood.
