| 0:31.2 | What are the most common symptoms of betrayal trauma that you see with your clients? |
| 0:35.8 | Well, there are some really common symptoms and I guess the things that I see most regularly are first of all the overwhelming emotions that are stirred up by |
| 0:45.8 | this experience of finding out what your husband is doing whilst you're not looking and |
| 0:51.2 | so these overwhelming emotions come up and that manifest in lots of different |
| 0:55.3 | ways but I see sleep difficulty as something that happens a lot so either we want to sleep too much |
| 1:01.1 | or we can't sleep at all or when we do sleep we get |
| 1:03.9 | nightmares we get eating issues that complete lack of appetite and the |
| 1:09.7 | overeating on the other end of that spectrum. I see anxiety and panic attacks in response to triggers and the obsessive and intrusive thoughts, flashbacks and nightmares. |

| 1:36.0 | scouring internet history scouring emails text messages what's going on on the computer that I don't know about, and that's all about looking |
| 1:44.4 | for signs of danger still being present. |
| 1:47.6 | So I would say those are the most common things that I see. |
| 1:50.9 | I want to talk about nightmares for a minute. My ex was supposedly in recovery, but I was still having nightmares. In the dreams, I was a single mom and I knew I needed a husband, so was like there was that one guy I remember him he was kind of nice where is he now why isn't he here and then I would try and find him and then I would find him and he would be like kind of mean to me and brush me off. |
