Antitrust, Anti-Pinnopoly.

The question turns for several hundred years, certainly since

the 19th century and Teddy Roosevelt fighting the great trust, the great monopoly

standard oil comes to mind,

J.P. Morgan's Northern Securities comes to mind, the railroads, the Sugar Trust,

that is, people who dominated the appetite for sugar and the Traction Trust, people who dominated... the All of that comes to a moment at a dinner in Senator Elizabeth Warren's office in early 2016.

The invited that day with Senator Warren, Barry Lynn, Jonathan Cantor, Teddy Downey, who is the executive

editor of the Capitol Forum, and Lena Khan.

I mentioned that list as significant because Lena Khan is now five years later

and chair of the FTC.

Barry Lynn, her colleague at Open Markets Forum, is an early advocate of where Lena Khan is going

with her control of the FTC's chairpersonhip.

And Jonathan Cantor is now antitrust and justice. So this dinner is the

chrysalis for the conversations now underway about breakup Facebook, break up Amazon.
