Summary

The Good Morning Football Podcast begins exploring how the New York Jets should attack the draft.  Hosts Kay Adams, Kyle Brandt, former NFL QB Matt Cassel, and former NFL executive Scott Pioli share their analysis on what would be an A+ draft for the Jets. Then the GMFB crew pretends to be the decision makers in the Detroit Lions front office and decide the fate of the Lions at #2. Later, they share their take on what the Green Bay Packers should do in the draft. They’re joined by NFL prospect Haskell Garrett and he talks about getting back on the field after a shooting incident in college and what it means to him to have the NFL draft in Las Vegas. They finish up being joined by potential #1 overall pick Travon Walker and he shares his thoughts on being a national champion, why he deserves to be the #1 overall pick and who he’d love to sack in the NFL.

It's where it's all happening, the center of our universe, KB. With green toenails, too? We can get some paint on them. Yeah, nine of them. That's it. That's what we're doing this week. It is. It's Vegas. It's the NFL 2020 draft presented by Verizon. You know, Kyle, I saw your Monica Potter and Conner, and I raised you to Tara Reid in the Big Lebowski. Welcome to Good Morning Football. We are presented by Ram Trucks. We are so excited at the party here with Kyle and Matt Castle, who's back all week. And resident general manager, Scott Pioly. What's up, Scott? Pioli. How you doing Pioly? Pioly. What's up, bud? You ready to rock? Let's do this. Graft week. I mean, we're coming in hot today. Excited. Two days away. Take me inside a front office. What are you doing this morning? Kate, right now is you're trying to calm down, right? There's been so much going on. You've spent so much time with the evaluation process. The last couple of weeks really is about the strategy, not the evaluation.

Because everyone thinks that they know what's going on in someone else's draft room.

1:42.8

They don't.

1:43.4

And you're relying on friends to give you enough truth, but not too much of an answer. Because if they're giving you too much of an answer, they're probably not telling you the truth. So this is an interesting time just to be strategic. You would be doing that. I'd be getting the snacks, Twizzlers, Cheetos, all of that. Kyle would be in a liquor aisle. We'd be a good here, good team, and you're the face of the operation.

2:02.7

That would be great.
