And he wanted to talk about the things that he as Human Health and Human Services Director will be doing to combat this rise in the rates of autism.

And amazingly, people are angry about this for the dumbest reason, which we'll explain in

just a second.

First, you're going to see him talk about the increased prevalence of autism.

It's pretty alarming.

The ASD prevalence rate in eight-year-olds is now one in 31.

Shocking.

There's an extreme risk for boys.

Overall, the risk for boys of getting an autism diagnosis in this country is now one in 20.

Oh, my gosh. And And as high in California,

which has the best data collection, oh, it probably also reflects the national trend. One in 12.5

boys. Oh my gosh. I cannot. This is part of an unrelenting upward trend.

The prevalence two years ago was one in 36.

That's alarming.
